Et fint sted midt på Paralian,
drevet av 2 brødre fra Skopelos;
A nice place in the middle of the Paralia, runned by 2 brothers from Skopelos;

Det var "Kafenion" her fra 1920
og i 1935 kjøpte guttas bestefar huset.

Giannis, faren, drev stedet fra 1969 til 1981,
så ble det leiet ut til forskjellige.

I 2010 åpnet brødrene stedet og beholdt det
 gamle, fine navnet. Hva betyr det?

It was "Kafenion" here from 1920,
in 1935 the boys grandfather bought the house.

Giannis, the boys father, runned the place from 1969 until 1981, then it was rented out.

In 2010 the boys opened the place and kept the nice old name. What does it mean?

Selvfølgelig masse sjømat,
vi er jo ved sjøen.
Men de har også;
Of course lots of seafood,
this is a seaside place.
But they also have;

Mousakas
En dag vi var der spise vi;
sopp i hvitløks smør,
tzatziki, svigermors tunfisk salat,
sprøstekt fisk og mye annet.
Alt lekkert servert.

Stedet er rent og pent, mye går i blått
og det passer jo meg.
Det var tomt da vi kom, men da vi
gikk var det mange bord fyllt.

One day we ate there we had;
mushrooms in garlic butter, tzatziki, tuna-fish salad, small fishes and more.
All great and very nicely served.

The place is nice and clean,
much in blue, so it suits me.
It was empty when we came, but
when we left many tables was filled.


Wonderful yogurt with pickled carrots and walnuts, mmm ...

svigermor; Kyria Sofia, - hun har lagt ned tunfisken som serveres i den herlige tunfisk- salaten og står for den fantastiske Skopelos spesialiteten; "Konelli Stifado" - kanin i tomatsaus med små løker.
 
Prodromos mother in law; 
Kyria Sophia, - has pickled the tuna fish they
use in the tasty Tunafish-Salad and she is responsible for the superb specialty of Skopelos; "Konelli Sifado" - rabbit in tomato sauce with small onions.
