Villt Grønt / Ugress
Vi har gått rundt hus, i hager og enger,
hvor vi plukker grønt. Dette er en kunst som man
 må lære, for det er ikke den, ikke den, men å ja,
 denne er meget god. Det er masser av xorta!
Dette var desember 2008, men xorta
plukker vi høst, vinter og vår,
når sommeren kommer er den ikke så god
lenger og de fleste har ikke tid til å plukke!

Man kutter vekk tykke stilker og dårlige blader, 
skylle dette godt og så kokes det. Hvor lenge?
Til det er klart!!! 20 minutter, en time - 
alt etter som hvordan man liker det.
Det skal litt salt i også.
Dette kan fryses eller spises med en gang.
Man presser sitron over og så olje, rett før 
servering, eller gjerne ved bordet.
Det smaker godt, noen ganger kanskje
litt bittert, og er utrolig sundt.

Nå er det tid for xårta, klar av olivnene, eller
mens man plukker. Den er jo der vi tråkker.
Xårta kan brukes som tilbehør til alt.

Å drikke kokevannet er vedlig sundt!

Herlig gratis salat!

Wild Greens
We pick them around our houses, in gardens and anywhere, wild greens. It is a kind of art that one has to learn; not that, oh no not that, yes this is a good one. There is a lot!
This was December 2008, but xorta we pick autumn, winter and spring,
when the summer comes it is not so good
any more, and we all are busy working!

Probably not!!!

One has to cut away thick stems and bad leaves, 
rinse well and then boil it. How long?
Until it is ready!!! 20 minutes, one hours, 
- as you like it. You need a dash of salt as well.
You may freeze it or eat it immediately.
Squeeze some lemon over it and add some oil
just before severing, or at the table.
It tastes good, but some could be a bit bitter.
It is very healthy.

For sure after the olives one goes for xorta,
many has done it as a break with the olives.
Xorta can be eaten to everything. 

To drink the water it was boiled in
is very healthy!

Great salad for free!

Disse har jeg plukket, grenene er så fulle, tellet 10 bare på en kort en. Utrolig! Det er også smaken, såååå nydelige, - tror jeg må ha en nå!

ALTHOUGH considered to be one of the world’s healthiest cuisines, the Greek diet is missing one crucial element: breakfast! A group of revolutionary chefs are looking to fill the gap at the 42nd Xenia exhibition, Greece’s leading hotel and restaurant show.
The “Kalimera…with taste” event will be held on Saturday 27 November (to late now, but I found this interesting!) at 12pm at the Xenia exhibition, where seven Greek chefs will give live demonstrations for making amazing Greek-inspired breakfast.
