En svale i Svaleredet!

Éna Celidóni de jérnei thn ànoixh, ala ...
En svare gjør ingen sommer, men ...
One swallow does not bring the spring, ala

- svalene kommer tidligere her!

The swallows are here and are building on their nest from last year in the House in the OliveGrove.
My photos taken through the window and no tripod, - not bad!
Do you see the shadow of the wings?

h ànoixh - spring

The Greek saying says spring while the Norwegians says summer,
- up north the swallows arrives late!

3 swallows, summer is here!

3 øyer har satt sitt preg på meg;
Lyngør min barndom paradis, Skopelos mitt nye paradis og Kypros vinterene!

Ikke rart jeg synger;
My Island in the Sun!

Was at a lovely lunch in town yesterday, in a charming, narrow street. What I suddenly saw was how the electric lines was arranged on the house to the left. What a mess!
Hope you can see it, does not show very good on my photo.

Blue sky and sun on Skopelos!
Here is more music and more from Cyprus, I have many good memories  from there. I worked in Paphos every winter from 1984 to 1991, a fantastic time with lots of fun,
- and small bananas!
I do not know how many "stocks" of bananas I got every autumn from the farmers. They are very sweet, but it was a bit too much. Very fun to bring them to the welcome meetings!

3 islands has marked me; my childhoods paradise Lyngør in South of Norway, Skopelos my new paradise and my winters in Cyprus!

Not strange I sing;
My Island in the Sun!

Land of lemons and of olives,
Land of happiness and hugging
Land of cypresses and pine trees,
Of young heroes and of love,
Gold-green leaf, cast onto the sea.

Land of pastures, dry and fading,
Land of Virgin Mary's sorrow,
Of blistering wind, of harsh invasion,
Volcanoes and inclement weather,
gold-green leaf, cast onto the sea.

Land of girls with smiling faces,
Land of merry-making boys,
Land of fragrance, land of welcome,
Cyprus, land of love and dreams,
Gold-green leaf, cast onto the sea.

Dagens sitat;    Todays quote;

  • "It's better to have five in your hand, than ten lurking elsewhere."
  • The English equivalent:
    "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush."

    to καρτέρι - bakhold - ambush

    καρτerw - vente - I wait for, I endure

    - tror jeg det heter på norsk.
    På gresk sier de;
    "Bedre med fem i hånden, enn ti i bakhold."
                                                               (tror jeg!)
