Torna a Surriento
Come back to Surriento

Look at the sea, how beautiful it is,
inspiring many sentiments -
as do your softly spoken words,
which make me dream all day.

See how this light breeze,
comes from the garden, bringing the scent of oranges,
a fragrance without a parallel
for one whose heart is full of love!

And you say: "I am leaving, farewell!"
You would flee my heart,
this land of love -
how can you leave it behind?

Don't go away,
do not torture me any more!
Come back to Sorrento,
and do not let me die!

Pavarotti er borte,
så sent lørdag kveld tok jeg en musikk-trip og nøt hans stemme!
Fant da ut at jeg har den engelske teksten til mange av sangene;
det er jo bedre når man vet hva de synger om!
Det var ikke fritt for at tårene trillet litt, musikk sier så mye,
gir så mye!

Jeg lot tonene flyte utover hustakene fra min terrasse,
et God Natt til den store stjerne!

Panis Angelicus

Caruso

Nessun Dorma

Lillforskan sang jo;
"Music skall bygast utav gledje!"

Pavarotti is gone,
so late Saturday night I took a music-trip and enjoyed his voice!
Found that I have the English lyrics to many of the songs;
so much better when I know what they are singing about!
My tears was running; music gives so much, tells so much!

I let the music float out over the rooftops from my terrace,
a Good Night to a big star!

Panis Angelicus

Caruso

Nessun Dorma

A Swedish singer song
something like;
"Music should be build out of joy!"

“If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician.
I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music.
I see my life in terms of music.
... I get most joy in life out of music.”
Albert Einstein

“Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music.
Your days are your sonnets.”
Oscar Wilde

“Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who could not hear the music.”
Angela Monet

“Only as high as I reach can I grow,
only as far as I seek can I go,
only as deep as I look can I see,
only as much as I dream can I be.”
Karen Ravn
